Chelsea Weibust Designs is a remote design studio specializing in residential design. This unconventional business model is a testament to CWD’s devotion to sustainability and reducing environmental impact.
Minimalism, intentionality, and slow living are core values of CWD and are prevalent in my work and design process.

Let’s start with thoughtful.
On multiple occasions, I have been referred to as a “thoughtful” designer. I didn’t always understand what this meant, but I have since embraced this descriptor as the standard of care that I put into my work. The process of designing a house is very personal and demanding, so my purpose is to guide you on your journey to achieve the perfect home for you.
Now, onto beautiful.
It may seem obvious, but beauty and aesthetics are a priority for any project. Buildings and the environments that surround them should bring joy, encourage creativity, and exhibit a sense of safety and security.
The concepts of beauty and security, in many ways, are universal. Everyone can feel the difference between a concrete-covered, treeless strip mall on the side of a main road, and a quaint abode on a lakeshore. My goal with every project is to bring those primal elements of beauty and security to every home.
Finally, functional.
What is beauty without function? A beautiful home does not necessarily equate to a functional home. Furthermore, what’s functional for someone else may not be functional for you. Examine your daily routines, how you live, and future plans you have for your family.
When you come home, do you need a mudroom to unload your belongings or a simple coat closet? Would you prefer all bedrooms on the second floor, or do you need a ground-floor master suite?
You shouldn’t have to adjust how you live to fit your home, your home should be designed in a way that enhances the way you live.
